Matthieu Thonon

Matthieu Thonon studied musicology at Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB, 2004) and has worked at the MIM library since 2009. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the audiovisual collection.

The collection comprises sound reproduction devices ranging from phonographs to MP3 players, as well as their carriers, from wax cylinders to native digital files. It also includes video productions: concert recordings, thematic clips (donations, instruments), the documentary series Traditional Music in Belgium, and collaborative projects with the Africa Museum in Kenya (PRIMA project), Gabon (RIETMA...
