Saint Catherine's ball in Haine-Saint-Pierre

The Saint Catherine’s Ball in Haine-Saint-Pierre (Hainaut) is the last popular ball to have been held continuously since the Second World War. Originally created as a reaction against new dance forms from America, it remains a living link to the popular European balls of the 19th century.
