Is so-called 'classical' music 'monolithic', continuously played on the same instruments and with the same ensembles? It is not! From the Middle Ages to the 20th century, from city musicians to the modern symphony orchestra, instrumental ensembles have been made and broken up according to fashion and society. This historical journey will also be an opportunity to enter the daily life of musicians and their listeners.
