Géry Dumoulin, musicologist, is the curator of the collection of Western wind instruments at the MIM. A specialist in 19th-century brass instruments, he is also interested in wind bands and, in particular, in the traditional practices associated with the fanfare bands of Wallonia. He gives lectures on organology for the Université libre de Bruxelles. In 2014-2015, he was the scientific curator of the SAX200 exhibition organised at the MIM on the occasion of the bicentenary of the birth of Adolphe Sax.
