Anne-Françoise Theys holds a Master’s degree in Art History and Musicology from the Université catholique de Louvain (1992). She began her career at the MIM as a guide and was appointed Head of the Education Department in 1999. She later transitioned into museography - a newly created role at the time - where she contributed to enhancing the display of the permanent collections and coordinated temporary exhibitions at both the MIM and the Royal Museums of Art and History (RMAH).
