A journey through sound
Trio Michaux takes its name from Belgian painter and poet Henri Michaux, whose mysterious and profound work inspires their musical exploration. Like his shifting colours and hesitant lines, the trio searches for a sound in constant motion - a delicate balance between control and surrender.
Much like Michaux, who sought not to define but to reveal what slips away, what trembles, what resists form, these three musicians give voice to the ungraspable. Their trio becomes a space of resonance - a shared search for something greater than the sum of its parts.
The musicians:
- Elina Buksha - violin
- Mihai Cocea - viola
- Kacper Nowak - cello
Programme : Mozart & Penderecki - Two masterworks, two worlds
- Divertimento in E-flat major, KV 563 by Mozart (1788) is a model of elegance and balance. Over six movements, Mozart unfolds the full richness of his melodic and structural genius.
- String Trio by Krzysztof Penderecki (1990-91) is darker and more intense, exploring a powerful, expressive post-romantic language.
Between Mozart’s clarity and Penderecki’s emotional depth unfolds a rich musical journey - one that echoes the poetic universe of Henri Michaux.
