In this afternoon concert series, highly talented students of the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel perform their finest work. In the final concert of the academic year in this series, they present a varied programme featuring Mexican music and Latin American classics. The students will perform works by Manuel M. Ponce, Eugenio Toussaint, and Julio César Oliva, alongside well-known songs by Agustín Lara, Bobby Capó, and Salvador Morlet. For part of the programme, the students take an active creative role, making their own arrangements and adaptations, reimagining the music through their instruments and artistic voices. Flute, guitar, piano, voice, and ensemble alternate in duo settings and larger formations, with close attention to colour, rhythm, and text, creating a vivid musical journey between tradition and contemporary interpretation.
