Heritage and Innovation Through Japanese Music
This special concert at the MIM celebrates the 160th anniversary of friendship between Japan and Belgium. Bringing together classical Nagauta - the music used for Kabuki theatre - and contemporary works for shinobue and nohkan, the programme explores the dialogue between heritage and innovation. Featuring leading women performers of Japanese traditional music, the project highlights both artistic excellence and evolving cultural perspectives.
