A partnership with Fête de la Musique
In June 2025, the MIM will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the former Old-England building on the Mont des Arts. An event not to be missed!
As part of Fête de la Musique, come and take part in all kinds of free activities: concerts for everyone, live music in the exhibition rooms, mini-guided tours, guided tours behind-the-scenes-tours, percussion workshops, a photo exhibition and a screening of home-made documentaries on traditional music in Belgium.
List of activities
- 3 concerts including a first family concert at 11am, a second family concert at 12:30pm and a festive closing concert at 3pm
- Continuous live music in the exhibition rooms and the different foyers by students of various music academies
- Mini guided tours of 30' in the morning (reservations on site)
- Behind-the-scenes tours of 30' in the morning and afternoon (reservations on site)
- Percussion workshops of 30' in the afternoon (reservations on site)
- Photo exhibition of reproductions of some of MIM's archives in the foyers Sax and Mahillon
- Film screening of home-made documentaries on traditional music in Belgium in the foyer Mahillon
