A partnership with Fête de la Musique
In June 2025, the MIM will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the former Old-England building on the Mont des Arts. An event not to be missed, and admission is free!
As part of Fête de la Musique, come and take part in all kinds of free activities: concerts for everyone, live music in the exhibition rooms, mini-guided tours, guided tours behind-the-scenes-tours, percussion workshops, a photo exhibition and a screening of home-made documentaries on traditional music in Belgium.
List of activities
- 3 concerts including a first family concert at 11am, a second family concert at 12:30pm and a festive closing concert at 3pm
- Continuous live music in the exhibition rooms and the different foyers by passionate musicians of all levels
- Mini guided tours of 30' in the morning (reservations on site)
- Behind-the-scenes tours of 30' in the morning and afternoon (reservations on site)
- Percussion workshops of 30' in the afternoon (reservations on site)
- Photo exhibition of reproductions of some of MIM's archives in the foyers Sax and Mahillon
- Film screening of home-made documentaries on traditional music in Belgium in the foyer Mahillon
