Violin & piano recital

As part of the Traces Chamber Music Festival, the MIM presents three exceptional concerts celebrating music created in challenging times, yet always infused with hope.

The recital on March 7 features a diverse program for violin and piano, exploring lyricism, virtuosity, and imagination through works from both the classical and modern repertoire. From Korngold to Milhaud, via Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky, each piece opens a unique musical world - from Shakespearean theater to imaginary cinema.

Program:

  • Erich Wolfgang Korngold – Suite from Much Ado About Nothing, Op. 11
  • Igor Stravinsky – Divertimento from The Fairy’s Kiss (arr. Dushkin / Stravinsky)
  • Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky / Nathan Milstein – Maria’s Aria from Mazeppa
  • Darius Milhaud – Le bœuf sur le toit – Cinéma-Fantaisie (original version for violin and piano), music for an imaginary Charlie Chaplin film

Price: Adults €25, Students €10
