A musical journey through an 18th-century manuscript
Clåve is a duo formed by Marielle Vancamp and Jonathan De Neck, inspired by dance tunes from the 18th-century Marquis de Gages Manuscript. This historic manuscript, now housed in the Royal Library of Belgium, was originally part of the collection of François-Joseph de Bonaventure, a marquis from Mons. It features a rich repertoire of dance melodies and sonatas written for the cello.
With their instruments, Marielle and Jonathan breathe new life into these tunes, blending traditional folk influences with their own original compositions to take listeners on a captivating musical journey.
