Józef Wieniawski in memoriam

Wieniawski in Memoriam is a special occasion to celebrate the 180th anniversary of the birth of one of the greatest Polish pianist of XIX century. The program of the concert includes the works of Józef Wieniawski (1837-1912), both solo and chamber music. During his artistic life, Wieniawski was a great composer, pianist and conductor, but also a prominent pedagogue. His art of interpretation and pedagogical skills brought him great respect and universal recognition, as evidenced by the invitations to engagements at the renowned conservatories of Moscow, Paris and Brussels. For 35 years of his life he lived in Brussels, where he successfully organized its artistic life. 

Programme: J Wieniawski ( Ballade in es minor, op.31, Pensée fugitive op. 8, Reverie, op. 45 no. 1, Elégie op. 38 no. 3, Sonate in E major, op. 26)
